Focus System New on the Canon 5D Mark II is the AF (Autofocus) system. This has been upgraded from the earlier 5D Mark to include an autofocus system that is more accurate, responsive and fast. The DeNoise plug-in from softwhile features four different noise reduction techniques: low-pass, bilateral, adaptive bilateral and low-frequency. The plug-in also comes with four standard settings that can be fine-tuned for specific applications. Additionally, the DeNoise plug-in provides an easy-to-use noise reduction slider bar. The DeNoise plug-in is currently available for Mac OS X only.
Please be aware of the fact that the plug-in may negatively impact the image file size if the original image is larger than 32 MB. If you are okay with that, go ahead and download the DeNoise plug-in.
The plug-in contains softwhile’s Noise Reduction Algorithms and Pict.net DNG baseline noise reduction algorithms library. These algorithms have been carefully selected by softwhile to guarantee a good result, while being fairly easy to use.
The DeNoise plug-in works with Photoshop CS4 (Mac) and later versions. For Photoshop CS3 users, the plug-in is available as a standalone (32 MB download).
This plug-in only removes noise. It does not improve the image quality by any means.
If you have read the last update, you should be aware that the plug-in does not run correctly for me on Win XP. The mentioned problem was due to a firewall issue, which I think is now solved. However, if I’m not wrong, other users are still facing this issue.

The plug-in has been carefully designed so that it can be used from within Photoshop. To get the best result, try to set the plug-in’s standard settings in combination with a new image. However, you can also fine-tune the plug-in’s settings to get a different image quality.

deNoise is a plug-in that reduces noise in digital images. The softwhile DeNoise plug-in can be used to reduce noise in both color and black and white images. On the other hand, it can also be used to remove noise from grayscale images.
The deNoise plug-in is very easy to use. First, the user needs to open the desired image in the Adobe Photoshop software. Then the plug-in will be automatically added to the software. However, the user can also choose to add the plug-in manually.
After installing the plug-in the user will have the option to use the plug-in by pressing the F7 keyboard shortcut on the softwhile DeNoise menu. This will activate the noise reduction tools.
The user can choose between the different noise reduction tools by using the drop-down menus on the main window. These menus also allow the user to choose how each noise reduction tool will apply to the color, grayscale or black and white image.
Each tool works as follows:
Before presenting the different tools, it is worth pointing out the method of operation. The user needs to activate one of the tools by pressing the F7 keyboard shortcut. The tool will then run automatically and the user will only have to press the F9 keyboard shortcut in order to stop it.
A short window will appear that will allow the user to see the visual results of the noise reduction tool. Once the user has seen the visual result and is happy with it, the F9 keyboard shortcut will stop the noise reduction tool and bring the user back to the main window.
